Make the first conversation easier
A homeowner may not know where to begin. Ask an open question, listen without interrupting and help them describe the concern in their own words.
Bring your experience. Make a difference.
Bring your Illinois homeowner experience to a role built around clear communication.
Some of the best sales conversations start with a simple question: “What happened?” At Solar Exit Illinois, we want people who can ask that question, understand the answer and help a homeowner take the next step.
Tell us about yourselfIf you have sold solar, you know there is more to the job than a pitch. You have explained unfamiliar paperwork, answered difficult questions and earned someone's trust at their kitchen table. Those skills still matter when the conversation changes from buying solar to figuring out what went wrong.
Maybe you have dealt with delayed commissions, changing company priorities or one too many trips away from home. Maybe you simply want your next chapter in sales to feel more useful. Whatever brought you here, we would like to hear your story.
Solar Exit Illinois advocates for homeowners whose solar experience has not matched what they were promised. We help people facing confusing agreements, payment concerns or unresolved problems gather information for review and understand the next step. Your role starts with listening and explaining that process clearly.

Solar and home-service experience can teach you what customers find confusing. Bring those lessons, along with a willingness to listen when someone's experience is different.
Some applicants are ready for an individual change; others have a team they would like to introduce. We are interested in the experience behind either decision.
Illinois Shines uses different disclosure forms for purchases, leases, power purchase agreements and community solar subscriptions. Its consumer guidance explains that the program disclosure form and the customer's contract are separate documents. For a participating project, both can be useful when a homeowner is trying to understand what was promised.
Someone may have heard about an incentive without understanding who would receive it, or remember a monthly figure without the surrounding payment terms. Start with the type of agreement and the paperwork available. Participation in a state program does not, by itself, answer every question about an individual sale.
Solar Exit Illinois is interested in representatives who can help people slow down and sort through those details. Your experience explaining unfamiliar documents can support a clearer introduction to review. We want applicants who are comfortable saying that a question needs checking instead of supplying an answer they cannot support.
Tell us whether your network is in Chicago and its suburbs, Rockford, Peoria, Springfield or southern Illinois. The details of where you have worked help us understand your fit. Share how you organize follow-up when a homeowner has several questions and no simple answer.

We are interested in people who communicate clearly, follow up thoughtfully and care about doing right by the customer. Solar experience is useful, but it is not the only background worth bringing. If you are new to this kind of work, tell us why it interests you.
This starts with an introduction, not a lengthy application. Share a few details below and someone from our team will reach out to learn more about you and answer your questions.
We expect honest representation, respect for the homeowner’s decision and clear explanations of our service. Representatives do not provide legal advice or promise a cancellation, refund or other outcome.
